The first half of this trip is eventful and interesting. It gets a little long and tedious at the end. Start with a castle and end with touring towns that don't offer much in the way of experience; at least for our family. The last two stops made the day long, but Colmar was definitely a place we wanted to see, so no regrets. We were happy for the tourist train, but just not very engaging overall for us, could have been the time though, this is a long day. The guide is more of a driver with the audio tour but did a great job making sure we were engaged and comfortable. The convertible bus was perfect for the area; made for a fun addition to the day.

Our family enjoyed our tour. It was a pretty packed itinerary. However, we were able to see more things than we could get to on our own. We would have enjoyed at least 30 more minutes at the castle. You need to be physically fit for this tour, as you need to be able to walk quickly. But otherwise, we found the information shared in the audio guide to be informative. Also, if you want the experience of the open air bus sit midway or to the back of the bus. It was a better photo opportunity back there—but be ready for the breeze.

A great day exploring some of the quaint villages within the Alsace region; however I found it to be too long. After soending most of the day in beautiful small villages it was a shock to the system and quite overwhelming at the end of the day to go to Colmar a very large, noisy city. Our day ended up going overtime which meant we returned just on dark and near 8pm which meant I missed the dinner reservation I had. I feel the tour could be shortened and Colmar cut out of it and just enjoy the beautiful smaller villages as they provided much more history about the region and more stunning photos and then you would return at a more reasonable hour.
